My name is Dan O’Connell. I am an Interaction Design graduate and web enthusiast who loves designing immersive, creative & user-friendly interactions.
I hope to one day conquer the world with an Arduino board, a windmill and a modem, but in the mean time, I’ll stick to front end web design + development.

Timbre aims to enhance musical experiences and interactions by encouraging user participation within global digital networks.

Users engage with the music by accessing a network on a mobile device and liking, saving or commenting on a song. The data collected provides real-time visual interfaces and feedback. This information can be accessed online and on kiosks at participating venues.
The content will influence user’s playlists, events to attend and radio stations to listen to. The data could be used to give live feedback to artists and DJs, which could effect the content they play right then and there.
Interfaces have been designed to keep user interactions as quick and simple as possible. If the user is not already registered, they gets an ID code which is temporarily stored on their phone. This code can be used to register at a more appropriate time, yet still saving the user’s data.
